Smoked Barrel House Pie

Smoked Pie

  • Fresh or frozen pie, cooked or uncooked. The cooker will act like an oven, a pie can be baked or reheated according to the pie recipe.
  • Prep Time: Depends
  • Cook Time: See Instructions
  • Skill Level: Easy

  1. For 14 inch diameter cookers use a 12 inch pie. For 18 inch diameter cookers use up to a 14 inch pie. They can be in an oven safe dish or pie tin.
  2. Start the cooker according to instructions.
  3. Add flavored wood chunks as desired. Remember that a little goes a long way.
  4. The temperature gauge at the top is about 50 degrees cooler than where the pie is cooking (mid-section). If the gauge says 250, the pie is cooking at about 300.
  5. When cooking a raw pie, check it before the time given in the recipe.
  6. When reheating a pre-cooked pie let stay in the cooker for at least 30 minutes. Use a thermometer to check if internal temp is a desirable temperature. We suggest around 170°F.
  7. When done, remove from cooker and serve.
